A bumper season is planned for speedway in the Shoalhaven area of New South Wales. It is anticipated that at least sixteen divisions ranging from Sprintcars to Speedway Karts will appear under the bright lights on the Nowra clay in 2010-2011. The AMCA's will hold their State Title in December, and some of the countries best will contest the NSW Modified Production Title in January. In addition South Coast Titles will be held for a number of divisions who regularly compete at the venue. Nowra continues its strong support of sedan racing, with the Holden vs Ford Test Match, and rounds of the popular Modified Sedan and the 4 Cylinder Sedan Series. |

Persistant light showers this afternoon put a dampener on the Easter Bunny making an appearance in the Shoalhaven. Organisers could not find an umbrella big enough to fit over the bunnys ears, and keep the rain off the eggs at the same time, not to mention keeping the track and spectator areas dry.. So it's back to the burrow Bunny!! |

When former Shoalhaven speedway driver Brad Bassett straps himself into his Shannon Civil sponsored Falcon speedway sedan on Saturday night what will seem like just a normal heat race to most people in the stands will actually be a rare milestone for the driver many people consider to be speedway’s “Mr Nice Guy”. The 8 lap race will actually be his 500th career race start that started all the way back at Nowra in 1995 when he raced a very competitive Ford Escort when he made the switch to speedway after a successful 8 year road racing career at tracks such as Amaroo & Oran Park. |
